Chicory witloof seeds or Belgian endive seeds supplied by Chicosem are intended for sowing in the season in which they are sold, whether you use bare precision seeds, a film coating, a minipill (pelleted seed), or seeds with a Non Chemically Treated (NCB) coating.

Priming is the activation of the germination process with the objective of ensuring that the treated seed germinates more rapidly and/or uniformly after sowing. These seeds have an even more limited shelf life. Of course this seed is even more vulnerable. Always store this seed under the most optimal conditions and do not store it as strictly necessary any longer.

To enable a good start of the cultivation, Belgian endive seeds must therefore be stored under the best conditions:

• in sealed packaging;
• stored in a refrigerator or deep freezer;
• prevent temperature fluctuations.

When you nevertheless have stored seeds for a longer time than carry out a germination test before using Belgian endive seeds stored for a longer period of time!
