Chicory Symphonie
Symphonie, the first late chicory witloof hybrid from Hoquet Graines, is suitable for summer forcing. Symphonie was introduced in 2008. In contrast to our earlier chicory hybrids, Symphonie requires soil which is richer in nitrogen. During the root-cultivation phase the plants develop strong, healthy foliage, with a high root yield.
Ideal for summer until end of season
The optimum forcing period begins after 1 May, and probably continues until October/November. Symphonie's characteristics include easy harvesting of the chicons, high yields, and an excellent shelf life. Symphonie has a white pith.
