Chicory Désir
Désir is an early, extremely uniform hybrid with excellent root production. Désir is earlier than Atlas and, consequently, is ideally suited to lifting in September and early October. The heads can then be harvested during the months of October, November and December.
Extremely uniform
Désir produces attractive, closed, bulbous heads. The heads are slightly shorter than those produced by Atlas, and are ideally suited to various forms of consumer packaging. Various studies have also demonstrated that the heads have an excellent shelf life.
Désir, a CMS hybrid, is extremely uniform. Moreover, since Désir is insensitive to Safari herbicide, weed control should give virtually no problems.
Désir is earlier than Atlas, and can be forced at lower temperatures than Atlas.
